Just wanted to do a quick celebration--I finally sent off a manuscript to fulfill my contract option. YIPPEE!!! It's been five months and I was starting to feel it was holding me back.
So, now I have a manuscript into an editor and I'm free at last to send out manuscripts to whomever I like. Whew. What a relief.
Now I just have to try not to worry whether they'll like it or not.

  1. Congratulations, Heather! Does that mean they will publish this one too?

  2. Okay, so what did you send? I've got to know.

Congrats, by the way. That must be such a relief!

  3. I had a gut reaction to one recently, so I'm thinking that's the one that went...but whatever you sent, great good luck!

    Can't wait to hear.

  4. yay! Can't wait to hear more about it!

  5. No Stella, just because they have the option on my next work doesn't mean they're going to publish it. They just want to be the first to get to look at it--and they didn't want it. Ah well, I tried.

I'm wondering which one you had the gut reaction to Terry. I hope I didn't send the wrong one! Well, I guess I did, obviously. Bummer.

  6. Oh, I'm sorry to hear this Heather. I hope something else comes of your work, though. As you probably know, even published authors still get rejections.
